League to hold forum on pot proposition
‘Marijuana: Prop 64 and Beyond” will be the topic of a League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County panel discussion from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 8, at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley.

The panel will consist of Fran Cole, an attorney; Forrest Hurd of Safe Access Saves Children’s Lives; Patti Smith of Nevada County Chair for Safe Access; and Amy Irani, director of the Nevada County Environmental Health  Department.

Presentations will be followed by a question-and-answer session when audience members can submit written questions for panel members.

Refreshments will be available, as well. Peace Lutheran Church is located at 828 W. Main St.

Prop. 64 is a November ballot measure that would legalize marijuana use for adults and allow them to grow as many as six plants in their home.
