A seminar on California’s Proposition 64 that legalized the recreational use of marijuana will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at Nevada County Superior Court, Law Library, 201 Church Street, Nevada City.
The seminar will include an analysis of what conduct is now legal, the effect of the new law on probable cause issues, and a summary of how the voter-approved Prop. 64 interacts with California’s medical marijuana regulations, local ordinances and federal law.
It is open to the public and attorneys, who will receive one hour of Minimum Continuing Legal Education credit. The cost is $30 for attorneys and $15 for others. Pre-registration is recommended as space is limited. You will need to arrive at 11:40 a.m. to register.
